Materials Matter: Recycled Swimwear
Jimmy Lion Swimwear has entered the chat. Discover our first range of bikinis and one-piece swimsuits for women, and swim trunks for men, made with recycled materials. To bring our first swimwear line to life, we had two things clear:
1. Every design had to breathe summer AND our signature creativity.
2. We wanted to find the perfect balance between more responsible materials and maximum quality.
That's where recycled materials come in.
Recycled Polyester and Recycled Nylon
To help reduce the harmful impact of textile production on both people and the environment, we chose to include a higher percentage of recycled content in our original designs. For our Jimmy Lion Swimwear Collection, we selected pre-consumer recycled polyamide (commonly known as recycled nylon) and post-consumer recycled polyester for their benefits and durability.
Pre-consumer recycled nylon and post-consumer polyester are just as durable as their virgin counterparts. What's more, their use also helps divert both pre- and post-consumer textile waste away from landfills. Both recycled materials are also tested to ensure they are safe for consumers throughout production.
Our Recycled Swimwear
Our men's swim trunks, available in 21 unique designs, feature an exterior made of 100% post-consumer recycled polyester. Soft to the touch, each pair dries quickly and is built to last. Meanwhile, our women's bikinis and one-piece swimsuits feature a shell with 25% pre-consumer recycled nylon and an 86% post-consumer recycled polyester lining.
