Pros y contras del algodón orgánico

Ein paar Fakten über Bio-Baumwolle

Both regular and organic cotton are high-quality materials that produce premium-quality products (in our case, cool socks). However, organic cotton is grown without harmful chemicals and leaves a lighter carbon footprint behind. That’s why we’re working to include more of it in our original socks! While many of our Athletic designs were already made with organic cotton, we wanted to bring this more sustainable practice to the production of our Casual socks as well! That’s where our Garden Collection comes in! It’s our first collection made with 100% ISO & OEKO - TEX® certified organic cotton. And it’s just the beginning. But is organic really better? Benefits Less water contamination Less air pollution Lower impact on the surrounding ecosystems Better crop diversity = healthier soil = more stable ecosystems which, in turn, creates more jobs as the land can be farmed year round Drawbacks Smaller yields More expensive to produce & harvest Supply can’t always keep up with demand In the end, the pros greatly outweigh the cons. And while we’d love to go in 100% with organic cotton, we want to do so responsibly. In the meantime, we’ll be able to stay on track with our sustainability goals! Thanks socks much! Weiterlesen

Las preguntas más frecuentes sobre JAWS (Tiburón)

Ihr fragt – Jimmy Lion antwortet. FAQs zu Jaws

Is Jaws a true story? Based on the real “warfare” between New Jerseyans and a shark in 1916, this don’t-look-down thriller is inspired by real events. The real story follows a string of attacks along the coast in New Jersey that took four lives. But that’s where the similarities end. Sharks rarely attack humans and this is one of two recorded events in the history of the area. The rest of the film’s plot is inspired by Peter Benchley’s 1974 novel of the same name and Spielberg’s imagination. And that spine-chilling soundtrack? Artist, John Williams’ masterpiece. Is Jaws appropriate for a 10 year old? Up to you, mon ami, up to you. Is Jaws a boy or a girl? Not sure why that’s relevant, but the shark from the 1975 classic is named Bruce. So for those wondering, Jaws seems to be about a binary cis-male. Of course, we don’t speak Shark so I guess we’ll never know for sure. Is Jaws the best movie ever? Best is subjective, but we’ll venture a guess that this is a classic for a reason. We suggest watching it with an open mind and taking the release date into account (1975). The effects weren’t what they are today, but it’s still a film we keep going back to! We hope your Jaws-related questions were answered. In the meantime...
